Genuine Official 4 Player Adapter for Gameboy DMG-07. The Nintendo Game Boy Four Player Adapter (DMG-07) is an official accessory released in 1990 that acts as a central hub (multitap) to connect up to four Game Boy systems for simultaneous multiplayer gaming. It was famously bundled with the game F-1 Race to showcase its capabilities. Key Features & Functionality Central Hub Design: The adapter features one permanently attached "Player 1" cable that plugs into the lead Game Boy's link port to provide power to the device. Connectivity: It includes three open ports for Players 2, 3, and 4. These players must use their own standard Game Link Cables (DMG-04) to connect to the hub. System Requirements: Each player must have their own Game Boy console and a copy of the same multiplayer-compatible game cartridge. Protocol: The device uses a serial data transfer protocol with "ping" and "transmission" phases to manage data exchange between the connected consoles. Compatibility Consoles: Primarily designed for the original Nintendo Game Boy (DMG). While it can work with later models like the Game Boy Pocket, Color, or Advance, these require additional adapters (such as the MGB-004) because the DMG-07's built-in Player 1 connector only fits the original Game Boy's larger port. Games: Only a small library of over 20 games supports the four-player mode, with many being Japan-exclusive. Notable supported titles include: F-1 Race Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman! Wave Race Yoshi's Cookie
